Lamb Shanks for a Slow Cooker

Lamb Shanks Recipe Ingredients
- 2 TBL olive oil
- 4 small lamb shanks, trimmed
- 1 tsp sugar
- Salt and pepper
- 4 medium carrots, 1” pieces
- 1 cup coarsely chopped onions
- 4 large garlic cloves, peeled
- 1 Bottle white wine, preferably Chardonnay
- 3 sprigs thyme
- Bay leaf
Lamb Shanks Recipe Directions
In pan, brown shanks evenly, about 20 minutes, sprinkle on sugar, salt & pepper and continue until golden, transfer to slow cooker.
Add veggies to pan, cook for about one minute. Transfer to slow cooker, add wine, thyme, bay leaf. Cover and cook on low for six - eight hours. Serve juices in gravy boat.
