Dear Friends,
Many of you have visited our website since December of 2020 and seen your favorite cuts of Lava Lake Lamb marked Out of Stock. After the pandemic’s disruptive effect on the meat processing industry, we decided to take pause and reimagine our place within the broader food system. We have made the difficult - but, for us, right - decision to sell all of our lamb locally, here in Idaho, to our longtime restaurant customers and local buyers. This decision has allowed us to drastically reduce our carbon footprint and focus on nurturing our local food system and community.
Some of you have been customers for nearly 20 years and we appreciate your loyal support of our ranch. For those of you who do not live in our part of the country, we hope you can find a local source of grass-fed meat for your table.
